Outreach and Extension
Did you know that the Library can come to you? As part of the Library's mission, we strive to meet the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of all who live, work or go to school in Seneca County. This includes those requiring special services, like the handicapped, the blind, hearing impaired and the aged and homebound. And, especially those providing day care.
Home Library Service
T-SPL's Home Library Service offers to select and deliver materials for those who are physically unable to use the Library's facilities due to temporary or long-term illness or disability.
The delivery of most library materials can be tailored to meet the needs of any individual. Favorite authors, interests, and other requests, as well as the amount of reading material desired, are ten into account. Special requests can be made for books, including large print books, audiobooks, music, and magazines.
To qualify for this service, you must be a resident of Seneca County with a library card and be unable to visit the Library due to short or long-term illness, a non-driver status, a physical challenge, or visual disability. Delivery of most library materials can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual and some of the benefits of this service include personalized visits, longer lending periods, and no overdue fines.
To apply for this service, print out the application and turn in to the Library.
