We have a program for every child

At T-SPL's Youth Services Department, there's something for everyone!

With different programs for each age, the Junior Library also hosts family-friendly programs, like Lego Saturday and the Lego Contest. The Youth Services Department staff work hard at hosting new events throughout the year, like Fancy Nancy parties, Start Your Art, Playtime at the Library, and more.

Be sure to mark your calendar for our large events like the summer reading program, Storybook Festival, and Operation Elf: The Community Christmas party.

For a complete listing of events, check out the Library's online calendar.

Virtual Programs

In response to the social distancing restrictions of COVID-19, The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library has launched a new YouTube channel to showcase a number of virtual programs for patrons to enjoy.

The Youth Services Department offers two weekly virtual programs. “T-SPL at Home” offers reading tips, crafts made from materials that can be found at home, and ways that kids can complete items from the Summer Reading “List of Awesomeness.” “T-SPL at Home” is offered on the Library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.

On Friday afternoons at 4:00, the Youth Services Department hosts “Virtual Storytime.” Each week has a theme, such as siblings, boredom, and travel. “Virtual Storytime” features singing, dancing, games, and crafts in addition to the reading of a storybook. Due to copyright restrictions, videos are available in their entirety on the Library’s Facebook page for a limited time. “Virtual Storytime” can be enjoyed anytime on YouTube without the book.
