The History of the Gold Rush - August 2021 Outreach Virtual Program

The Extension and Outreach Department at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library allows the Library to come to you! For groups who can't make it to the Library, such as persons with disabilities, home-bound, or those who live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, our Extension and Outreach Manager Beth Gottfried makes sure you have all the Library materials you need! In addition to making those important deliveries, she gives presentations at these facilities that are designed to rekindle memories and encourage sharing about bygone days, as well as entertain and educate.

Even though Beth hasn't been able to visit these facilities this past year, we want to continue to provide our senior population with the entertaining and educational presentations they get from Beth!

This month, Beth will talk about the history of the California Gold Rush in 1848, including why we value gold and the lasting effects of the Gold Rush. After that, she will show you how to make birds out of yarn, and a word search is included below.
